Rolled thread procurement Mil Spec?

Does anyone remember what the Mil-Spec was (IS?) that controls thread rolling in regard to it being performed BEFORE heat-treat above a certain KSI? I know it's a AS spec now but I need to access the old Mil-Spec for my job purpose of the moment. Thanks!

Perhaps some of this information is in MIL-S-8879C (Cancelled) or MIL-B-7838C (Cancelled), which can be obtained from the following site:

I don't know much about the BEFORE/AFTER heat-treat issues, but there should be something in these standards about sizing the threads BEFORE/AFTER plating, and the use of GO/NO-GO QC inspection gages.
