Hey,
I'm working on a residential project where we will have 4" of rock/mortar on the outside face of concrete/CMU walls. One wall in particular will be CMU and ~12' tall.
I'm sure we need some kind of seismic tieback to the CMU for the rock face but I'm not aware of any systems like there are for brick veneer. Any recommendations and/or thoughts? Seems like rock might be more challenging than brick due to non-uniform nature of rock and mortar application. I've brought this up to the architect but no word back from him yet.
