Does anyone have experience with RobotWorks that they are willing to share?

I took a course quite some time ago, and really enjoyed it. Would you like some general tips? Or just looking to buy and want some feedback?

I'm just looking for some opinions/experience from someone that has used it. I'm trying to figure out if it could be useful for my company.

Here are some thoughts:

I found the UI very good and user friendly.

I liked that you could create Robot Code (command language - pick and place) my simply moving a robot assembly in SolidWorks. I think many different brands of robot arms were supported.

Having said that, this was over 3 years ago, and I never used it in a production environment. Nonetheless, it seemed like a good, solid product.

I'm using RW v5 quite heavily at the minute for the Motoman ES200. My background is exclusively in aerospace, but I find RW extremely simple to use. Mastering the nuances and advanced features however takes some time.

Word of advice...always open SW BEFORE you open RW! Quite important if you want to be able to save files. And it's best to use it with parts created originally in SW, I'm working with parts converted from Unigraphics and it's horrendous.
