Dear group,

Would anyone be familiar of what would be an approximate cost range of a RO plant for brackish water? I am trying to find out the initial cost, and the running cost. Just for the plant, ignore civil engineering (building, reservoirs), well pupms, output pumps. Water has TDS 3500ppm, output is 10000m3/day, conductivity is 5980?S/cm, pH is 7.14, water is for drinking, antiscalants will be used and pH adjustment, no chlorination, units will be 2 in parallel (5000m3/day each). input pressure 25bar, no energy recovery system, each unit will consist of: 2 stages, 28vessels 1st stage, 13vessels 2nd stage, 6 elements/vessel, recovery 80%, specific energy 1.14KWh/m3.

Thank you all,
george

That is a good size system that would cost you about $2 million dollars. Operating costs run about $.70/ cu. meter.
