Rigid bodies intersecting

I have a number of rigid bodies impacting onto a deformable body.

I'm using Explicit & general contact. I used the rigid body constraint to define the rigid bodies.

The contact with the deformable body looks fine but the rigid bodies just seem to pass through each other. How do I stop that?

NOTE: due to the number of rigid parts defining contact pairs is not an option.

Which version of Abaqus are you using? Rigid-rigid contact is missing.

What kind of rigids are you using? Analytical?

Abaqus 14.1

The parts are rigid shells R3D3.

I thought that you could do DEM like modelling in Abaqus, is this not the case if rigid-rigid contact is missing?

Should work. Maybe your mass is too low to calculate proper penalty stiffness.
