I would like to know if anyone can point me in the right direction. I am looking for a or website that will have some data on standard tooth profiles for ratchet gears of varying types. I know that my machinist handbook has standard gear profile information but nothing on ratchet profiles.

You can get them online at any reputable gear manufacturer. If you prefer to model them yourself, then specifications for involute profiles in tooth geometry can be found in various technical publications or listed in mechanical engineering technical bulletins. I use both and recommend you do the research since only you know the end application.

I forgot to mention, just thinking about it, the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT is probably the most valuable resource I've come across with gears. These cats really know their stuff, probably as good an academic program as MIT or other ivy league engineering research centre. I'll suggest they are probably superior in some areas.
