Resonance modes

Suppose you excite a rectangular cavity resonator with a gauss pulse trough a coax in the middle of one face. How can I predict which resonance modes are created? Why do I get TM110, TM111 but not for example TM101?

the transition between your coax and the cavity are critical as is its location relative to any nodes.
