Resolve Element & General Contact Warning

Hi,
How can I resolve following warnings?

Abaqus IS UNABLE TO ESTIMATE AN AVERAGE INTERFACE ELEMENT LENGTH. THE WHOLE MODEL CHARACTERISTIC ELEMENT LENGTH IS USED INSTEAD.
&
OP=NEW on *CONTACT is ignored when the general contact definition is specified as model data

Not all warnings indicate problems with the analysis. The ones cited here can be safely ignored.
