Research Paper resources

I'm doing some reseacrh on Structural Steel Corrosin in caribbean environments and I was wondering if anybody knows any good web resources for research papers or any research data regarding structural steel corrosion (preferably free ) that could be of any assistance.

Actually Google Scholar usually only has abstracts. You need Web of Science (now Web of Knowledge) and I'm afraid it won't be free... unless you know somebody at a university and you can "borrow" their login.

You might get lucky with Google Scholar and find an abstract that seems exactly what you need and then be able to track the authors down over the internet. Some academics put their papers on their websites and with enough flattery, others might be convinced to email you their paper. There are probably some copyright issues involved, however.
