Reorder components in assembly

hi,

I am trying to drag a component in order to reorder it in my assy, but it gets into another subassembly and I do not want that.
So I am trying to do menu: component:component operation: reorder
Can anybody tell me the sequence of that operation : what to pick and what to click?

After selecting reorder, select the part that you want to move, then select the part that you want to insert it before. Watch your prompts.
After putting it into the wrong assembly, just drag it back out. Make sure that you don't let go of the mouse button until a black horizontal bar appears in the model tree where you want the component to be.

I am selecting components in my model tree and reorder is not happening.

Is it a problem? Do I have to select from the model itself and not a model tree?
