Hi

When I want to send a sheet metal part to lasercutting usually I go in "draw in view" of my flat and I select save as dxf. Until V17 there wasn't any bend lines in the dxf but now the bend lines are translated with the dxf and I don't know how to erase it without having to go into the dxf with autocad.

I tried to hide the bend lines before saving as but it still translates the bend lines into the dxf

Any ideas?

Pat,
I don't know how you hid them, but if you open the Drawing Views properties form and click on the Annotation tab, you will find a checkbox to turn off the bend centerlines. You can then save the DXF out without the bend centerlines.

Hi Pellaken

That's exactly how I did it and what I tought would be the solution but as I said this doesn't work anymore with V17.

Hi,

You have a hide edges tool that might help you.

Otherwise, why don't you try with the 'save as flat' command from the sheet metal environment ?

May be you should wait a little bit though b/c I created an IR about problem with the save as flat dxf export options and received a resolution letter saying it was going to be fixed in the update 4.
