Remove Tool

Hi,


I want to know what is the use of remove tool exactly and what it does?


Can anyone explainme with a simple example?

In simple words, to use a surface to cut away solid material with.


I use it to make smooth transitions in flow paths, where you need organic shapes that would be difficult to model unless using boundary blends.

Ankarl -I assume you mean remove when using solidify?


I would say that "remove tool" , located under "edit - remove" is used for removing unwanted faces, like fo ex if you want to remove a round like in this part:

Yes, you're right, I was mixingthe terms...

The removal tool is very useful when simplifying parts for FEA or CFD studies
