I would like to build a spreadsheet that allows me to calculate the minimum lateral size for a pressure distribution type drainfield. Essentially derive the values that Otis, 1981 presents in graphs for lateral diameter depending on orifice size and spacing, and lateral length. I know it's easy enough to look at the chart, but I would like to know how it is calculated. I would assume it is related to the orifice discharge equation and hazen-williams equation but I can't seem to get any farther than that.

Can anyone walk me through the calcs?
