Some years ago I used a film for release. I think the material was number D330. It was about .0035 inch thick, blue in color. I need to produce some material and I am almost out of the original release film. I have been unable to find a source and I’m not sure what to use as a substitute.
I am doing a wet layup on polished aluminum coated with PTFE. I placed the release film on top of the layup and used a top plate under pressure. The material is a heat cured epoxy at about 250 F.
Please excuse my ignorance, but could someone suggest a substitute material and a source?

It is unclear what you are using, a large number of release films are blue in color , there are fluoropolymer films which are good to 500* F or there are nylon bagging films . I have posted a data sheet for a bagging film . At this stage with the info you have given which was most likely a suppliers part number . All I can do is offer suggestions and get a no that's not it or that's the one answer.

You are judged not by what you know, but by what you can do.
