What are the best design resources for Reinforced Steepened Slopes? I see that one of the main sources is a FHWA document, but we have not located it yet. Are there any other good 'readable' sources that you Geotech gurus might recommend?

Since the FHWA did much of the research, I though they would have public domain software but have not found it yet. Any help in this would be appreciated.

All of the geotech FHWA publications that are available online are available at
The one that covers reinforced slopes is "Mechanically Stabilized Earth Walls and Reinforced Soil Slopes Design and Construction Guidelines."

The original software that resulted from the FHWA research is called RSS. It is available free at this website:

Note that this is DOS software. There has been a windows version released, ReSSA, but it is not free. You can find out more about this program at the same website.
