Regardin boolean operations

Hai every one,
i have a problem with boolean operations.when i'm trying to ADD two part bodies, it is not perform the boolean operation. it showing "Topological operator:internal error".I dont know why it is happening can anyone suggest what may be the causes?

Do the each of the bodies have a cylindrical surface which align in tangent with one another ? That doesn't always cause the issue but it is a frequent occurence I have expereinced.

An image of the two bodies or might be helpful in identifying a cause if you are able to post one.
