Hi Everyone,

Could anyone suggest some good reference books on Hydraulic/Pneumatic Controls.
Am a fresh ME graduate and currently working as a design engineer using solidworks. Need to get into the Control point of machine design.

Could use all the advice.

Thanks,
Paul.

Festo has an excellent selection of pneumatic and hydraulic control books and they even conduct training classes. Try their representatives.

I bought two books for next to nothing from the defunct McGraw-Hill Mechanical Engineering Book Club:

Technology of Fluid Power by William W. Reeves

Pneumatic Systems: Principles and Maintenance by S. J. Majumdar

Both are practical and useful. Pneumatic Systems, however, could use a good edit for typographical and grammatical errors.

I use a book "Fluid Power-Theory and Applications" by James A. Sullivan.
printed by Prentice Hall.
You might check with your local suppliers if they offer classes also.
