We need to redesign the heating/cooling pipeline (diameter & length) carrying thermic fluid to a batch reactor (Therminol 55).

This is to be done for a fixed heating time(batch cycle time),quantity of batch, required temperature difference(in batch reactor)and heat flow rate (Kcal/hr) of the heating fluid. Heating/Cooling is to be done for the production of polyester polyols but we do not know the specific heat for the product.

Is there any relationship exits between diameter of pipe and temperature difference?

Please through some light on this query.

Thanks.
