The red one was by The British Structural Steelwork Association - SCI. (Guidance & design of BS5950).
I have the 4th edition of this "Red Book" but have heard of different colour books banded about in conversations.
Well, I was way off. Years ago, the AISC Steel books were colored that way...9th was green, before that I dont recall, but were some red and blue ones.
everybody knows the green book is the standards for public works construction or alternatively, the AASHTO Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets. The red one is the Red Book of Marine Engineering and of course blue is The Blue Book of Building and Construction
The green book is the connections book, the red and blue are the member tables. You can get an online copy of the member tables from either the SCI ir the corus website.
Not sure how these work with the eurocodes though, I believe there is a whole lot of new guidance books on that.
