Recommendations for durometer gage tool?

I'm looking to spend about $400. I recall having a really crappy analog one (although it hasn't turned me off to all analog), but can't remember the brand.

I guess I'm hoping that one of you reading this has a rock solid, tried and true durometer gage sitting at your desk that you can recommend.

Or for that matter a crappy one that you can warn me away from
