We have three large reciprocating inert gas compressors which regularly give us problems, most often due to corrosion product blocking up valves, unloaders etc. Although we are trying to eliminate corrosion, it has been suggested that we use "RECIP-TRAP" condition monitoring techniques to bring problems to our attention before they become serious. Has anybody had experience with this, is it worthwhile, does it give relevent data etc. Thanks for your help.
