Hi,

Is it possible to have a part rebuild while still editing the design table?

I am doing a lot of "what if" design and would like to make numerous changes while still in the design table and see what the resulting part will look like. It is a major pain to have to dismiss the Design Table each time I want to see what the updated part looks like.

Suggestions?

Question:

If you Edit Design Table in a New Window... and then select...
File > Update... isn't that supposed to update the model?

Tried it, but it doesn't seem to work.

cheers,

To my knowledge, we still have to close the DT to get it to update. I'm not aware of that changing for SW08 or SW09.

Yes you still have to close the DT to get the model to update. I think this could be more of an Excel issue then a SW issue.

Solidworks might have come up with their own Design table like they did the BOM.
