Hello,

I would like to know is there a way of defining stirrups in beam elements or you can only define longitudinal discrete rebars in beam model of reinforced concrete beam. If you can't, what is best way to model stirrups in reinforced concrete beam.

I need simple models for nonlinear analysis so modeling with solid elements isn't really an option.

If it's helping, I am referring to section 2.2.3. Defining rebar in Abaqus/Standard beam elements of Abaqus Analysis User's Guide.

I hope was clear with my question and thank you in advance.
