I have a question regarding the ream up process.
In drilling operations, after drilling one joint of drill pipe, we usually perform a wash up / ream down to smooth and condition the section we've just drilled, before making a new connection and continuing drilling.
My question is:
Can we perform ream up instead of wash up / ream down when using a kelly system?
If not, why?
