Read reuse component variation name and use it in BOM

Hello.
I have an assembly made out of numerous reuse components. Can someone please tell me how to edit those components so that their variation name is used in the bom of the assembly. I have created a spreadsheet and listed those names there, and it does generate those named variations when dropping them into the assembly it just does not show up the name in the cells of the bom. Thank you. I think it has something to do with parameters.
