Re-Validation after installing Server 2000 Hotfix

I have a question for those of you running SCADA systems that have been validated. Would you perform some level of re-validation if a Microsoft patch/hot-fix was installed on one of your servers? This is a simple fix to a event ID that showed up in the event logs related to network permissions etc. This is not a new service pak update just a patch.
