Re: Ungar-Weller 4024 Temperature Control?

Hello all,

Please forgive me if this is the incorrect place to ask this question, yet I happen to own an Ungar 4024 solder/desolder station that I would like to use for PCB work. While the system uses an analog (slide) control for temperature variation, the numbers listed on the slide are 1-4 and do not list respective temperatures. Does anyone happen to know where I can get data on what temperatures correspond to the 1-4 (such as an Ungar 4024 manual) before I try to find out via trial and error?

Also you can use a temp gun and take the peak reading.

Or any other one. Just make sure it goes up to 900F. These have a million other uses to boot!

You're welcome! I use mine all the time. I use it to find circuit problems regularly. I always run it over a new board. "Why is there a 110F part here??" I also want to know the temperature of the room pretty often,(for temperature controllers). You just shoot a flat non-metallic surface,(like a cardboard box), in the room and you have it.

Also fun to mess with tropical fish with the pointer.
