I am wondering how do I tackle the issue of raw material usage for BOM's, e.g. Hoses, the hose assembly model consists of two couplings and a hose. The hose is part no. 123

(which is a standard bulk hose no\ordered by the roll) & since this is a standard model the qty of this hose says 1 in the BOM file when I really want it to specify the length to cut. (I realise using a bulk material would allow manipulation of the BOM quantity but these don't allow geometry to be attached, plus there would be possibly hundreds of hoses made from the same part no. 123 all needing different lengths) We do not want to have to give every different length of hose a seperate part no. but we can't seem to find a way to be able to track raw material usage . If any body can give me some advice it would be much appreciated
