Can anyone please explain the following:
API 5L allows a range of sizing ratio for cold-expanded pipe 0.3 - 1.5%. However, many specifications and manufacturers narrow the range to 0.8 - 1.5% (no heat treatment). What is the reason to use lower limit 0.8 against of API 5L allowed 0.3%?
Cheers,
