Hi, does anybody know how to model continuous random fiber reinforced polymer composites on a macro-scale?

I assume these materials exhibit quasi-isotropic in-plane behavior due to random microstructure, however I'm not sure how to model them on a macro scale
using e.g. layared shell section.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Macroscopic modeling of composites means that a single anisotropic material is used to define the composite. It's necessary to provide accurate elastic behavior data in such case. Also make sure that you define local material directions properly.
