Does anyone have any advice how to model a bent beam (gable roof) in RAM? I've got a one story, conventionally framed building. Unfortunately, I've had to place "temporary" columns at the building ridge line in order to complete the framing model.

Naturally, these columns are not to appear in the building. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can you make these lateral beams and fix them at the ridge??

Doing so will cause you to make the supports for these beams lateral as well, but I think this might work.

FYI - make sure you check your loads. RAM will "reduce" the loads based on the slope of the angle. It is an issue an whether the loads are to be applied along the length, or horizontal projection. If memory serves me correct, you might have to increase your dead loads, but your live loads and snow loads are ok.
