Sorry if this has been covered before...

I am using SW 2006 and am trying to mate/drive a rack and pinion I have modelled. I notice in the 'Whats New' of SW2007 there is a specific rack and pinion mate but I was hoping that this is achievable in SW06 maybe through use of the gear mates(?) but I have had no luck. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It can be done in SW2006, but it'll take a little bit of work. This has been covered here before (try searching for "rack and pinion" or "gear mate") and there are some good example files in the threads that you can download. I've been in the same boat as you and found a way to do it through this forum;-)

still couldn't find what I wanted any ideas....

I can't find the thread now, but I remember someone suggesting using a gear mate and pretending that the rack was a round gear with a very large radius.

SW 2007 does rack and pinion very well and easy.
I saw it at the rollout yesterday.
