Trying to find out how to turn this option "off" as far as just doing some general calculation for bid purposes. It keeps showing up in the printout listing (even if it is just a blank page) but never in the listing before printing. What is going on? I've never noticed it before and I can't find a tab for in any of the settings. Help!

Hello Brian,

I am not familiar with this problem. Please send your COMPRESS vessel file to me for review.

Sorry, it is "Rigging Analysis" but I still can't find a way for it not to show up in the "to print" list. I don't have to print it out, as I can just not select it and/or remove it but just wondering why it is now there when I've never seen it before.

Does that make better sense?

Hello Brian,

I can reproduce this problem now.

The "Rigging Analysis" was a feature in older versions of COMPRESS. It displayed graphs of the distribution of shear force, bending moment, and bending stress along the length of the vessel as it was lifted in horizontal position at two points. This feature was removed at the time that lifting lugs were added. Due to customer requests, we plan to restore this feature in a more robust form.

Files made in the older versions and that had the Rigging Analysis option activated will show the "Rigging Analysis" in the Print List. However, there is no report for the Rigging Analysis and it is not listed in the Index. As you described, there is no way to delete this function (ie: the Delete dialog does not list the Rigging Analysis).

I've reported this to our programmers and asked them to suppress the Rigging Analysis from the Print List.

Well, it seems maybe there is more to this matter. Another customer just sent a file with the ghostly "Rigging Analysis". His file was created in COMPRESS build 6251, not an earlier build. So it seems something may be awry here. But to date, only these two instances have been reported.

Brian,

Nope. As a matter of fact, now I can reproduce it "at will". This is a bug in COMPRESS build 6251. It seems that *all* files opened in this build (new or existing files) will show the Rigging Analysis in the Print List.

Hopefully we'll get this "shook out" in next build.
