I have a drawing from another company that I need to revise. The revision table contains the following columns: NO., LT, REVISIONS, DWN, CHKD, DATE.
What in the world does LT stand for? Thanks!

Hmmm, only one that might make sense is Lead Time...

Could be Lot?

What about Letter as a shortened notation for Zone Letter?

"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."

ASME Y14.38a-2002 only has 5 meanins for LT but none of them sound right in context.

Letter?

It might be any of these

I vote for Looney Tunes. It is the only way the users of mysterious acronyms are going to learn.

I guess it could be zone letter, but what if the revision spans several? Seems pretty silly... :/

Do you have an example of a filled in revision block or just the blank one?

I'm with drawoh. Get your company to settle on "Lost Time", put a "yes" in the box below it, then bill the customer for however long you spent trying to figure out what they meant. That'll definitely teach 'em.

List? As in Associated List, Parts List, Data List, etc. to indicate the document affected.
Is your customer heavy on Lists?

Getting back to looslib's question. Is there any entry in the LT column?

There are no entries in the LT column. I suppose that WOULD give some insight.

Indeed, I don’t know the meaning of LT on the revision table column.

Is it possible LT for Locational Transition Fits ? It’s one of the Preferred Limits and Fits for Cylindrical Parts ANSI B4.1-1967 (R2004), the others are :
Running and Sliding Fits (RC)
Locational Clearance Fits (LC)
Locational Interference Fits (LN)
Force Fits (FN)

Good idea! Mark the number of locational transition fits in the LT column, then don't tell anybody what you are doing. If you have to wonder and guess, then the other company should have to wonder and guess.

If there are no entries in the column and you do not get an answer from the other company, I would ignore it, just fill out the others.
