I am very new at this and wanted to seek some advice. I am constructing some cover panel pieces (non-load bearing). I wanted to know how worried about strength I should be.

These are the materials I planned on using:
5.6 Oz. Woven Carbon 2x2 Twill
EZ-Lam E30 /or EZ-Lam E60 Epoxy /or System 2000 Epoxy Resin

I assume this will yield a very lightweight and comparatively weak final product......

Would I be alright to use an epoxy resin that does not require a post cure? What would be my major disadvantage to not using an autoclave? How much comparative strength am I giving up to use a non-heated pressure mold? Is that even a possibility? Will using 2 layers of fabric be a waste in this method?

On a side note: This site is great. I found answers to somany other questions I had. Thanks alot for the input guys.

Well, I am greener than I thought. I did alot more research and found the answers to most of my questions. The only question I have now is where to find a good gel-coat?
