Question about threaded rods and ASTM specifications?

You can call for an all-thread or threaded rod in different material grades. Two examples would be A36 and A307. However, do each of these ASTM specs cover the formation of threads on these rods. Or is there another spec that universally covers formation of the threads for all threaded rods?

ASTM F1554 is the normal specification for threaded rods. It includes some information on thread formation. Most specs that require threading refer to ASME B1.1 for thread requirements.
 
abp...A36 and A307 are material standards. F1554 gives a little insight, as ajh1 noted.
 
F1554 is an anchor bolt specification. What if I want to call for an A36 threaded rod for a drill-and-epoxy anchor application? What spec would cover formation of the threads? Seems like it would affect performance of the anchor's bonding to the epoxy?
 
The key here is that ASME B1.1 defines the threads, not a particular ASTM spec. F1554 is available as a straight rod (bolt) application. If you are threading the end of the rod that is being set in the epoxy, it would seem to match the F1554 Grade 36 specification.
 
I thought F1554 also covered the threading of anchor rods.

So, if I want an A36 threaded rod, I should reference ASME B1.1 for the threads and that will be adequate for drill-and-epoxy applications?
