When chemically treated DEHA steam condenses to condensate after being used for loads, does the condensate get free oxygen in it? I understand that DEHA carries over with the steam as a corrosion inhibitor for the steam piping. Maybe that is how it loses ppm of DEHA chemical content.

If I have steam condensing in a boiler on standby, can the DEHA introduce oxygen back into the water during the condensing process? I understand vacuum conditions in boilers during stand by periods. I just don't know alot about DEHA.

The DEHA is an amine. Commonly added to steam systems to control corrosion. It reacts with the CO2 which is found in steam systems. It has nothing to do with oxygen.

So when the oxygen scavenger DEHA condenses from steam to condensate (inside a boiler on stand by for example), there isn't any oxygen in the water.... DEHA remains as an oxygen scavenger in the condensate. Isnthat the basics of DEHA per my example?
