I have been having a lag problem. Tech support says its my graphics card and our tech. person here says I need to install all the updates for solidworks. They did get me a new graphics card. ATI fire GL v5200 but it does not go to my computer. I am not sure if they are going to exchange it for one fits or not. What would be the best thing for me to do?

For sure install SP1.0... Don't bother with the rest unless you know you need them.

Don't know how a graphics card could not "go to" your PC. But check to see if your card is approved by SolidWorks.

For more specific answers to these and other qiestions... use the search feature on this forum. These issues have been discussed much.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time.

I have one from the not recomended side of the list. The put it in without refering to the approved list. then they got me this one and I do not have a PCI port for this new one. One of our other engeneers have all of the up dates on his hard drive so he is going to give them to me. I hope this works and I hope they get me a petter card. thanks for the help.

Fire your tech person If you wante something done right, do it yourself.
