Could someone give me examples of what pyroxylin plastic is used in? Specifically those items that would fall under NFPA 42.

The only places you'll probably find pyroxylin plastic is archived motion picture film studios. Films produced before 1931 were probably produced on pyroxylin film. After 1931-1932, all films were produced on safety film.

Any other uses have been discontinued or most likely destroyed by fire as pyroxylin plastic is easily ignited.
 
Thanks. Maybe this is why 42 has been discontinued.
