How do I bend a tab up from the middle of a sheet, i.e. imagine I've got a rectangular piece of sheet metal, and I want to punch out and bend up a triangular tab in the middle. So I'm not removing material - I'm punching and forming it.

I'm sure this can be done easily - and I can think of dozens of hard ways to do it.

Hey Scott,

Try to create deform area and then use rip feature to remove material for triangle.

Then when you bend up your triangle using bend feature, select triangle as sketch plane for bend line.Otherwise sheetmetal won't bend it successfully.

Good luck and let me know ...Alex
