Pulling oily strip

Maybe someone has some experience with something like this. I have a mild steel strip, .50 inches wide, .10 thick, with a thin PTFE material bonded to one side. This strip is pulled through two - three tooth broach cutters that trim a few thousandths off each side to width. The pulling is done by two - nine inch dimaeter bridle rolls arranged with their center's at about 30 degrees from vertical to each other. There is a small pressure roll on the top roll. Both of the nine inch rolls are powered and their diameters are matched. They are urethane coated so as not to damage or cold work the strip. The problem is that, because the strip is oily, the strip slips a lot. We try to keep it clean, but some oil always gets through. From my research, powered pinch rolls and increasing wrap angle help. The oil makes it hard to calculate any frictional forces. I am working on increasing the diameter and number of bridle rolls, but it's a crap shoot as to how many it will take. Any ideas on alternative approches? Thanks for your consideration.

In addition to Mike H's interesting suggestion -
A pair of noisy, annoying air knives before the strip enters the rolls?
A couple of sharp edged wipers pinching the strip, and angled, before the rolls.
A different process oil?

Food for thought, siping and wipers/air knives. I hadn't thought of siping, and frankly I had to look it up to see what it meant.
