Pull Out calculation in metal deck

I need to calculate the pull out or pull over value of a bolt in metal deck. I am not looking for a table, i need to calculate it myself.

Similarly, i am looking for the calculation to determine the uplift value of a single puddle weld in metal desk.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

The cold formed steel code CSA S136 (I think) is endorsed by both the US and Mexico has puddle weld values for steel sheet...

I'll try to dig up my copy...

Someone else will have to assist you with the pull out values, other than calculating them...

Pull out values for screws in sheet metal are sometimes given by manufacturers, but more often should be tested in the field, due to variability. I know of no way to accurately calculate the pull out resistance of a screw. The screw-sheet metal interface is not clearly definable for calculation purposes.

I would use the procedure dik provided for the puddle welds.

I think S136 has values for this, too... will check tonight... agree that there is a huge variability in the results.
