Puddle (Arc Spot) Welds 1

Is there an interaction equation for shear and tension on these welds? I don't see anything in the AWS D1.3

I was thinking maybe a single spot weld may not be permitted to resist combined loading, and the answer is to have more welds.

The application is diaphragm and uplift loads on metal roof deck.
