Has anyone worked on PT pan joist system before? Both the girders and narrow joists are post-tensioned with long spans. The span is approximately 50 ft in both girder and joist direction. Can I design it as regular slab beam PT system? Anything special I need to pay attention to?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Vinju,

There are no real traps in it. Basically T beams in both directions with a short span slab between the joists. Just make sure the calculations are allowing for cracking and long term effects properly (no fudge factors).
