Project management software???? 1

What software would some of you reccomend? I run smaller projects usually involving different departments and some vendors and last less then 6 months. Most projects involve installation of automation and secondary equipment. I'm looking for a simple to use effective software program.I'm not a wiz kid on the computer.Thanks!
