Hey guys, when a progressive cavity pump downhole in a CBM well shuts off, will the fluid column above it stay and safely isolate the gas flow from moving up through the production tubing?
I have a downhole pressure transmitter that goes through a PLC with some other instrumentation to determing the height of the water column in the casing, but if it needs to isolate the facility the gas side is closed in via the PCV, and the pump just shuts off on the tubing side. Id rather not add an extra shutoff valve if the pump does this.
Cheers
