I have an acrylic planing/grinding application as follows:
I must grind down, to flatness, a regular pattern of grooves (8 mils deep) on the surface of a flat acrylic panel. I must do this at production quantities, in an automated manner.
For removal of deep scratches in acrylic, I have seen reference made to 1) Wet sanding combined with 2) Polishing compound. Are these processes suitable for automation?
Any suggestions for methods of accomplishing this? Thank you
