I have a product improvement idea - auto security system - I'm working on a patent but am being advised that I may need to promote it myself. My question is, who would be interested - an auto manufacturer, or is the security system designed and provided by some outside firm? If outside firm, who?

That will depend on what makes your system different/better than what's currently out there. If you're willing to share, we can offer our thoughts, but otherwise we would be guessing...
