As per API 5CT, clause 10.3.2, two tubular products from each heat used shall be analysed for product analysis. However, we observed that some of the reputed pipe manufacturers are producing a single pipe under one heat. Therefore, manufacturer confirmed that only one product analysis is possible for that particular heat as there is only one pipe produced under that heat.
Please advise whether single product analysis is acceptable or that single pipe is to be rejected as it is not complying to the requirements of clause 10.3.2 of API 5CT.
