Problem Working with Attributes

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I have a problem concerns with an attribute command. When I insert a block that has a variable attribute, and there is dialog box appears to enter the data to be stored with the block. But data is <font color=red>not respectively</font> , so it is not convenient to enter several data. Please tell me how to solve ith this problem and how to delete list blocks in my drawing.<br><br>Thanks,<br>Kae<br><br>

 

ATTDIA is a sytem variable that controls the display of your attribute dialog box. ATTREQ controls whether to enter attributes in the command line or not.<br><br>Set both to zero if you don't want to enter attributes when inserting a block.

If you are using AutoCAD 2000, there is an express tool called Block Attribute Manager, (or BATTMAN), which will allow you to re-arrange the order that the attributes appear in the dialog box. This is a very useful tool. Some of the express tools come with A2K, while others have to be purchased from Autodesk.<br>Also, the attributes will be arranged in the order that they were selected when the block was created. So don't use a window to select all the objects to be blocked. Select the attributes individually in the order that you want them to appear in the dialog box, then you may window the rest of the entities.
